An absolutely brilliant campsite.was very sad to leave here. Showers, toilets and all facilities are top notch!Alex the site manager is an absolute gentleman and nothing was too much for him, always willing to help and always with a smile on his face. I will 100% be returning to Highclere in the coming camping season! The site on a whole is a great place with a good friendly vibe

A pleasant, secure and friendly site with helpful and personable staff. However the facilities and play area do need to be rebuilt, and as yet there is no use of renewable energy for water heating or electricity etc. Also the site is generally populated by lazy ineducates who seem unable to recycle anything - the general waste is full of bags of glass bottles, métal cans and plastics, all of which could easily be recycled. Cctv needs to be put on tge waste area to prevent this practice.

Perfect location, lovely field and very clean facilities. Couldn’t give 5 stars as noisy this time in the evening which went on very late. Would have liked water access all round field but just being lazy! Would be good to have all taps labelled with drinking / non drinking to be clear.

Good campsite in a lovely location with decent facilities and a big safe space for kids to play. Even though the site was fully booked it didnt feel cramped. Also it's really accessible from the motorway amd close to local facilities. Nothing is perfect, i've never been charged for a shower at a campsite before and there are sites with more character but we had a great time and had nothing to complain about.

Great site - very well maintained. Excellent facilities, there is no clubhouse but there is a small town with a pub very close by. Great park and sand pit for kids. Very popular place with camper vans - make sure you book ahead.

Good flat campsite. Field is flat, grassy and well drained. Lots of space for tents and even more space for the kids to play. Usually quiet. Decent, clean facilities. Poor campsite shop but there's a Co-op about a mile away and a good chippy nearby. Good pubs within a mile in both directions.

It's an OK campsite. I definitely think it's way overpriced for what you get. I can't fault the kids playground or the actual with itself as it's well kept the toilets/shower facilities let it down. The toilets weren't clean. You had to pay 20p for a shower, which to be honest were rubbish. they got ridiculously hot to the point of burning . Thank God I didn't have my child in the shower with me. All in all, we had a lovely time but I do think they need to drop the price or get the toilet/shower facilities better.

On the expensive side at £30, but amenities were spotlessly clean although you had to pay 20p for a shower, seemed rather petty. The playground was a big hit with the children and several of the adults. Overall a nice site with friendly staff.

Used this well drained site on 3 occasions, it has made great strides to improve quality over the years and to be family friendly. We don't choose normally to go at peak times but have had a welcome and as much information as we need, good camping and been impressed by newer wash blocks etc.
